Our valued customer was looking to improve their composite “difficult to bond” materials including Glass reinforced Fibre glass and wood. Several systems were evaluated for their bond strength and resistance to various environmental conditions to investigate the most appropriate system. A system that satisfied customer requirements was selected and its performance in ageing conditions evaluated. Phenolic, Urea Formaldehyde, Melamine, Polyurethane and Epoxy systems were tested alongside various humidity conditons and surface preparations. A solution was provided with full customer satisfaction.

The same customer wanted us to improve the automotive comfort experience for their customers. Investigation into better Polymers and better coatings was undertaken. Our knowledge and skills were utilised whilst complying with automotive standards to find a solution that reduced the noise level and the labour time to carry out the operation.
